Position Overview: The IT Development Manager / Repair Dept Technician will be responsible for implementing newly developed technical strategies to enhance the refurbishment process of our in-house technology. This individual will also perform all the regular duties of an IT Technician in the repair department, ensuring that technology repairs are conducted efficiently and to high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical strategies to improve the refurbishment process.
  • Work closely with the management team to align technical initiatives with business goals.
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of technology, including computers, laptops, tablets, and other electronics.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Ensure all repaired equipment meets quality control standards.
  • Maintain documentation of repairs, procedures, and inventory.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff as needed.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and processes.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT development and technical repair, preferably in the electronics recycling industry.
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing technical strategies.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in various operating systems and repair tools.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
