IT Inventory Specialist / Warehouse Assistant

Position Overview: The IT Inventory Specialist / Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for receiving used electronics, sorting them, and ensuring they are taken to their appropriate destinations in the warehouse. Maintaining organization systems on-site and in the software up-to-date is paramount in this position. This role is critical for the efficient operation of our refurbishment process and overall warehouse management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming used electronics, ensuring they are accurately logged into the inventory system.
- Sort electronics and allocate them to the correct areas within the warehouse based on their condition and refurbishment needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records using inventory management software.
- Organize and manage the warehouse layout to ensure efficient use of space and easy access to inventory.
- Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages to the management team.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of warehouse safety protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and effective inventory management.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and condition of stock.
- Assist in packing and preparing items for shipment as needed.
- Provide support for other warehouse-related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in inventory management or logistics is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or a related role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and other relevant computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
